Blessed Jamaican Cuisine
Before the Justin Timberlake concert my daughters and I went to eat at Blessed Jamaican cuisine on Prairie across from the new Chase Forum. We ordered the chicken curry and jerk chicken plates. With the Jamaican chef and all of his friends, it almost felt like we were in Jamaica. The chef was friendly, and helpful. His friends were friendly as well.
The two dishes we ate were a little spicy. They came with a type of slaw, rice and beans. The rice and beans had a coconut flavor, which I love. I bought a large chicken curry, which was more than enough for my girls, and a regular Jerk Chicken, which was more than enough for me. We also drank the grapefruit soda, Ting. I was satisfied with the service and the food. While it's not a place to take someone on a date, unless you're taking him or her there before a concert, it is definitely a quick bite to eat or take out.

So Jason- I bet you haven't tried that place yet have you?

What's To Eat Around the Inglewood Forum?
Tonight I'm heading out to see Justin Timberlake with my daughters at the Inglewood Forum, as it opens for the first time in several years, newly remodeled and ready for concert action. We'll be eating out that way, so I'll provide some pictures and a critique once we've done our due diligence in Inglewood. The last time I was there was to see Prince, but before that, it was as a teenager, sitting outside waiting to try to meet one of the New Edition members.. A musician and singer, all I wanted was to get in the door.. Well, 20 years later, here I am.. entering the front to check out JT. Check back tomorrow for my full review of whatever eating place we'll visit.

An introduction to my pallet
So, I think I've eaten at every restaurant in the South Bay and have the best judgment of every dish, or so I told my co-workers.. But I have some tough competition. My co-worker, Jason, says he has me beat.. Well.. he's probably two feet taller, and a few inches wider, so he might be right. But I'll leave that for all of you to decide. Everything he tries is "the bomb", while, all the food I try has to beat my mom's cooking. And that's not an easy feat. I've been a critic my whole life, from music to movies, to food and recreation. In my eyes, nothing is impossible, but there's always room for improvement. So, here we go, on this journey toward perfection.. Let's see what you think!
